I am reading “The Chicken Squad.” It is about these four chickens who love helping this squirrel in the book.
Here’s my silly book poem:
Sugar is a chick,
Her name is not Rick.
She wears glasses,
She doesn’t like classes.
She is short, yellow and fuzzy.
Her mom is tall, orange, and clumsy.
She loves being yellow and fuzzy,
but when she takes baths, she gets all sudsy.
Sugar knows her shapes,
Her favorite fruit is grapes.
Dear Nikki,
I loved your poem! How very clever you are to compose such a “silly book poem”. It made me smile. Are you enjoying reading this book? What is happening now in the story? I haven’t read this book yet!

This poem is so creative and you’re really good at rhyming. How do you like the book so far, I’ve never read it but it sounds funny.
